Management Accountant
Overview
We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our client based in Prudhoe. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in delivering accurate financial insights, driving efficiency, and supporting decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management reporting, including profit and loss and balance sheet reviews, with supporting workings and reconciliations.
- Manage the month-end timetable, ensuring journals, accruals, and prepayments are processed accurately and within deadlines.
- Oversee balance sheet control accounts, carrying out regular reviews and resolving any variances or issues identified.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, highlighting key trends and providing meaningful commentary.
- Work in partnership with budget holders and non-finance teams to provide clear financial insight, supporting cost management and informed decision-making.
- Liaise with the wider finance function to ensure financial data is consistent, accurate, and aligned across the organisation.
- Assist with audit processes, preparing required documentation and responding to internal and external audit queries.
Qualifications
- Part or fully qualified in a relevant finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong organisational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities, with the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in IT and relevant financial software.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
- A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable: - Previous experience in the construction industry.
