JOB DESCRIPTION – Marketing Executive

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Marketing Executive will work with the Head of Business Development and Marketing to help support a professional marketing and business development function across all the departments of the Firm. They will provide support in the following areas:

• Financial and commercial contribution
• Client service and compliance
• People and Teamwork

Annual objectives will be agreed as part of the Firm’s performance review process each year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial and commercial contribution

The Marketing Executive will work with the Head of Business Development and Marketing to ensure work is conducted as efficiently as possible. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing our social media feeds to ensure content is well planned and engages effectively with our target audiences
• Maintain and update website content, ensuring this is relevant to our clients, other professionals and potential employees
• Co-ordinate and support the creation of blogs, newspaper columns and press releases
• Co-ordinate the organisation and promotion of internal and external events and seminars
• Work with others across the business to ensure content on our intranet (‘Portal’) is relevant and reflects our employer brand culture

Quality service and compliance:

The Marketing Executive will support the Head of Business Development and Marketing to ensure a great service is delivered by:

• Dealing professionally with colleagues, clients, other professionals, our community contacts and our marketing services suppliers, in person, on the telephone and via other communication channels
• Monitoring and managing online reviews
• Using analytical tools to monitor/measure website, social media and work take-on performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve the quality of our service and our overall profitability as a business
• Ensuring all relevant Company policies and procedures are followed

People and Teamwork:

The Marketing Executive will work effectively across the Firm in the following areas:

• Working closely with Head of Business Development and Marketing on team tasks and responsibilities

• Liaising with the Harrowells Social Committee to plan and communicate the firm’s social events
• Developing strong working relationships across all our offices
• Working with the HR Team on internal communications and recruitment campaigns
• Engaging confidently with people outside of the Firm

Purpose of the role

We are looking for an ambitious Technical SEO Specialist to support a portfolio of clients, bringing an innovative and strategic approach to their work, to ultimately deliver continuous improvement and successful campaigns to their client base.

The individual should have at least 2 years demonstrable experience working within a digital agency or similar environment, developing their technical skills along the way.

The individual must have a real passion for SEO and have an eagerness to learn, and implement best practices and new industry developments across their accounts. Team spirit is essential to success in this role - the individual must be able to balance their own client responsibilities with the needs and challenges of the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical audits and collaborate with the wider team to define the SEO strategy and design an action plan to help ensure success.
• Supporting business development with the acquisition of new business, detecting and providing key insights for client pitches.
• Supporting developers with website launches and migrations (redirect strategies, content migration, crawl-budget optimisation).
• Review organic client performance and support the account teams by adapting strategies and tactics based on results.
• Communicate Technical SEO best practices through the team, including leading internal training to help the team deliver your SEO strategies.
• Review and analyse technical and on-page SEO issues and execute fixes.
• Deliver performance increases and improve results for all clients within the agency's portfolio.

Experience

• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in achieving excellent SEO results through organic search with metrics that prove your abilities.
• Experience in identifying and implementing technical SEO fixes, for example, status codes, crawl and indexability errors
• Agency experience is desirable but not essential.

Knowledge

• Extensive use and understanding of a range of SEO tools, including Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Semrush and Search Console.
• Understanding of popular CMS platforms, most notably Magento, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Umbraco
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Knowledge of best UX practices and the relationship to SEO
• Sound knowledge of other aspects of digital marketing, including PPC, Content Marketing and CRO.

Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills at a client-facing, developer and team lead level
• Ability to react to challenges and apply a problem-solving approach to issues that the business may be faced with

Salary

• Salary: £25k - £35k (depending on experience)

MISSION

To develop and drive TMHUK’s digital marketing strategy. To optimise brand awareness & trial, the online UX and customer targeting to deliver lead gen & Ecommerce sales targets.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

This role requires focus in 4main areas:

• Strategy - develop the digital marketing strategy and digital mid-term business plan
• Market Contact – maximise awareness & engagement online
• Conversion - develop our online platforms to achieve commercial targets
• R.O.I – measure and report our digital marketing return on investment

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create TMHUK digital marketing strategic plans (supported by manager)
• To plan and execute all multi-channel brand and tactical campaigns to achieve lead gen targets
• To manage and develop our website (UX and online journey)
• To manage and develop our Ecommerce platform (in line with Europe) to achieve sales targets
• To manage and further develop our CRM systems and marketing automation capabilities
• To optimise the potential from our social media presence
• To optimise the awareness & engagement from our online internal comm’s.
• To develop and implement a calendar of content – campaigns, social media and mobile app.
• To identify new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
• To measure and report on performance and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• To conduct any other duties as requested within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Graduate calibre with appropriate marketing qualifications.
• At least 3-5 years of B2B Digital marketing experience
• Experience of marketing automation & CRM (Hubspot experience an advantage).
• Strong CMS experience and management of company website/s
• A social media native used to managing and developing corporate platforms.
• IT skills (Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external parties at all levels.
• An independent operator, able to use initiative, predict & solve problems
• Organised with a high level of attention to detail and excellent project management skills
• Full UK Driving Licence.
