Management Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller/Finance Director, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and insightful analysis to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet analysis
- Managing the month-end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
- Producing detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast
- Providing financial insights and analysis to support operational and non-finance stakeholders
- Collaborating with the wider finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements, including preparing audit schedules and responding to queries
Qualifications
- Part or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Strong organisational, administrative, and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel
- Proficiency in IT and relevant financial software
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in the construction industry desirable but not essential
