Legal Secretary – Residential Property Department

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join a busy Residential Property Department within a well-established and supportive law firm. In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, helping to ensure the efficient management of files and the delivery of exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence

  • Provide full secretarial and administrative assistance to fee earners

  • Manage diaries and schedule appointments

  • Prepare financial records and assist with the distribution of funds

  • Liaise professionally with clients and handle telephone enquiries

  • Maintain document and file management systems

  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the department

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years’ legal secretarial experience (residential property preferred; full training provided)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with legal case management systems (e.g., Partners for Windows) desirable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability

  • Client-focused, professional and approachable

  • Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
