Care Navigator
Overview
We are recruiting a Care Navigator to provide essential administrative and support within busy team. This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis and would suit someone with excellent organisational and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Details:
- Temp to perm opportunity
- Immediate start
- Full time (Monday–Friday, 9–5) or part time (flexible pattern available, must include Mondays & Fridays)
- York, Office based
- £25,065 – £26,734 (FTE)
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including processing referrals, clinical coding, and data entry.
- Act as a point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals.
- Handle telephone enquiries professionally and empathetically, creating a positive patient experience.
- Book and manage appointments, ensuring accurate records and follow-up.
- Accurately record patient details on clinical systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support colleagues and communicate effectively within the team.
- Assist with safeguarding responsibilities and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Take ownership of administrative areas of work and deliver them to a high standard.
Experience Required:
- Minimum Level 2 Maths & English (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
- Strong administration and customer service skills
- Experience working with systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Professional, adaptable, and self-motivated
- Experience within healthcare would be an advantage
