HR Administrator

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated HR Administrator to join their team. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career within a supportive company that values development and offers clear opportunities for progression.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • £24,000 - £28,000 per year
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Based just outside of Wakefield with free onsite parking

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate smooth onboarding for new employees, including verifying right-to-work documentation, updating internal systems, and liaising with relevant teams. Support recruitment by posting job requisitions and collaborating with managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Oversee administrative tasks across HR, payroll, and time management systems. Manage reference requests using standard templates.
  • Support probation reviews, manage leaver processes, and assist with contractual changes. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate mail merge projects for HR communications and generate reports from various sources, including the Employee Relations tracker.
  • Handle information requests in line with GDPR guidelines. Direct managers to appropriate forms, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with HR projects, including supporting the implementation of employee engagement initiatives

IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU? We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Have excellent attention to detail and can manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR systems.
  • Can work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 year of experience in HR administration.
  • CIPD Level 3/5 qualification (preferred).
  • 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent qualifications.
