Executive Assistant to CEO 

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity with an established organisation based in the York area. This is a varied role suited to an experienced Executive Assistant, Senior PA or Office/People Coordinator who enjoys working across a range of responsibilities.

You will provide trusted support to a senior leader while also taking responsibility for a variety of office, people and organisational tasks. This would suit someone who is highly organised, confident dealing with senior colleagues and enjoys being a key person within a business.

Responsibilities 

  • Providing day-to-day support to a senior member of the organisation
  • Managing diaries, appointments and changing priorities
  • Coordinating meetings and ensuring everything is prepared in advance
  • Arranging travel and accommodation when required
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation
  • Dealing with information that requires a high level of confidentiality
  • Communicating with colleagues, customers and external contacts on behalf of senior management
  • Keeping track of actions and ensuring important tasks are followed through
  • Supporting general office and organisational projects
  • Helping coordinate internal meetings, events and activities
  • Maintaining accurate employee information and supporting general people administration
  • Assisting with new starter and leaver processes
  • Supporting annual reviews and other people-related processes
  • Helping to keep internal documentation and procedures up to date
  • Providing additional support across the organisation as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within an Executive Assistant, Senior PA, Office Manager or similar position
  • Experience working closely with senior management
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A professional and approachable manner
  • The ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Confidence dealing with people at different levels of an organisation
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work without constant supervision
  • Good judgement and the ability to resolve problems calmly and effectively

Desirable

Experience within HR, people administration, office management or project coordination would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right person.
