Responsibilities
- Post daily bank statements to Sage and produce daily cash flow forecasts, bank summaries, and reports
- Review purchase invoices against budgets weekly, process purchase ledgers, and manage monthly BACS payments.
- Handle 4-weekly invoice runs for residents and councils, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Chase outstanding debts and prepare statements
- Reconcile accounts using Excel to identify outstanding debts and discrepancies.
- Process weekly and monthly payroll.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with home managers to resolve queries related to payroll.
- Answer telephone inquiries and address customer or supplier queries professionally.
- Prepare monthly accounts up to Trial Balance and Management Accounts
- Support Directors with ad hoc projects and reports as required.
- Undertake general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the department.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in Sage and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Payroll systems and experience - desirable but not essential
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance (AAT, ACCA, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
