Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Oversee everyday warehouse activities across goods in, dispatch, stock control, storage allocation, and order fulfilment.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the warehouse team to foster high productivity, teamwork, and strong morale.
- Coordinate resource planning and shift schedules to consistently hit key service level targets and operational deadlines.
- Track, evaluate, and report on core warehouse KPIs, including pick accuracy, order turnaround times, and inventory precision.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, statutory guidelines, and internal company policies.
- Lead morning team briefings to align daily priorities, set operational targets, and address immediate workflow escalations.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and boost overall efficiency.
- Handle customer and client communications professionally via email and phone regarding inventory or logistics enquiries.
- Organise structured onboarding, skills training, and performance reviews for warehouse operatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a warehousing, dispatch, or logistics environment, ideally in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coach, and organize a operational team under pressure.
- Strong IT proficiency across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience using ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, ServiceNow) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer service approach.
- High attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and service quality.
- Good physical fitness to support manual operational tasks and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Valid forklift licence/certification is desirable, though full training and certification will be provided for the right candidate.
Day-to-Day
- Conducting shift start-up briefings to assign daily duties, communicate priorities, and review safety protocols.
- Monitoring floor activity across picking, packing, and stock replenishment to maintain smooth operational flow.
- Reviewing inventory performance data and collaborating with the Senior Manager to optimise warehouse layout and processes.
- Responding to inbound customer inquiries regarding order statuses, delivery tracking, and stock availability.
- Delivering hands-on coaching and organizing team training sessions to maintain high operational standards.
