Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Management Accounts: Produce timely monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, product line profitability analysis, and financial KPIs with variance analysis.
Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, and rolling financial forecasts to assist senior leadership with commercial strategy.
Ledger Management & Supervision: Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, line manage the Business Administrator, handle sales finance activities, and manage credit control to control aged debt.
Operations & Payroll: Manage monthly payroll processing (ensuring accuracy and compliance), control expenses, monitor inventory levels, and produce stock reports.
Controls & Stakeholders: Maintain internal financial controls, optimize finance processes, and liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
Experience: Proven track record in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
Qualifications: AAT qualified, part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA), or qualified by experience (QBE).
Skills: Strong foundation in management accounting, budgeting, ledger control, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting. Payroll experience is desirable but not essential.
Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
