Overview

As a New Business Team Member, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth by generating high-quality business opportunities. Through outbound activity, you’ll engage with prospective customers, identify their needs, and secure qualified appointments for the Business Development Managers (BDMs). This is your chance to be at the forefront of the sales process, creating a robust pipeline and opening doors to exciting new opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a key player in our New Business Team, you will:

  • Conduct cold calls to prospects and re-engage with cancelled customers.
  • Qualify new leads and actively pursue dormant prospects.
  • Profile potential clients using fact-finding techniques to identify opportunities.
  • Establish and connect with decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Build and manage your own sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with BDMs to ensure seamless handovers.
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM system and update leads and opportunities.
  • Book qualified meetings for BDMs to drive the sales process forward.
  • Keep track of future expiries to maximize pipeline potential.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in telesales or outbound lead generation.
  • A proactive, energetic mindset with a strong drive to achieve targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • High resilience and the ability to handle objections with confidence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tools.
  • The ability to quickly grasp technical concepts related to telecoms and managed services and translate them into business value.

Day-to-Day

Your day will be filled with exciting challenges and rewarding interactions. You’ll:

  • Start your day by reviewing your pipeline and planning your outreach strategy.
  • Make impactful calls to prospects, uncovering their needs and identifying opportunities.
  • Collaborate with BDMs to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in our CRM system.
  • Celebrate your wins, whether it’s booking a meeting, reviving a dormant prospect, or hitting your targets!
