Responsibilities
- Taking full ownership of product compliance across UK and EU markets.
- Identifying and applying relevant legislation and regulatory standards (e.g., GPSR, UKCA/CE, EMC, LVD, RoHS, REACH).
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Technical Documentation and Declarations of Conformity.
- Assessing supplier documentation and laboratory test reports, identifying gaps, and recommending additional testing.
- Ensuring product labelling, safety warnings, and user instructions meet regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with suppliers to validate and manage compliance documentation.
- Collaborating with Buying and Product teams to integrate compliance early in the product lifecycle.
- Responding to compliance-related inquiries from marketplaces or regulatory bodies.
- Organising and maintaining accurate compliance records while driving process improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product compliance, product safety, quality assurance, or regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU product safety legislation, including UKCA and CE marking requirements.
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing Technical Files, Declarations of Conformity, and supplier compliance documentation.
- Confidence in engaging with suppliers and constructively challenging them to obtain necessary evidence.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple product categories simultaneously.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering solutions.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
