Administration Assistant

Are you an organised, proactive professional with a knack for multitasking and a passion for delivering exceptional support? We’re looking for a dynamic Administration Assistant to join our clients Sales Team and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Overview

As an Administration Assistant, you’ll provide efficient and proactive administrative support to the Sales Team, helping to maintain excellent customer service and streamline day-to-day processes. This is a fully office-based role, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Benefits

  • Salary - £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
  • Hours - 39 hours per week / Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Office-based with free onsite parking (due to location driving would be necessary)
  • 6 month contract initially with a view to a permanent contract for the right individual 
  • Friendly, close-knit team environment
  • Outskirts of York will require transport 

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process sales orders, estimates, and related documentation.
  • Maintain and organise electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Sales Team and assist other departments as needed.
  • Support the management and development of customer and supplier relationships.
  • Handle queries professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain strong working relationships.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and confident using CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear and confident telephone manner.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and consistency in administrative work.
  • Team Player
