Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Group Payroll function as part of a centralised team
  • Ensure payroll delivery is accurate, timely, and compliant with all statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Act as the organisational owner of the HR/payroll system, including ongoing maintenance and upgrades
  • Execute key payroll tasks, including reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processes
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to align payroll operations with wider business objectives
  • Analyse payroll data and produce regular reports for senior management
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain data accuracy in line with GDPR and company policy

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll management
  • Strong understanding of HMRC legislation, statutory requirements, and compliance processes
  • Confident using and managing HR/payroll systems (with a track record of leading upgrades or transitions)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and support others
  • CIPP qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to upholding principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion
