Tour Sales Advisor - US Market
Overview
We are seeking two passionate and driven Tour Advisors to join our team, with a focus on the US market customer base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our extensive range of tour packages and experiences. This role offers fully remote working BUT you must be based close to head office in York to attend training days and occasional team meetings

- Deliver sales into the business by maximising the conversion rate of every telephone enquiry, while providing a world-class level of customer service at all times.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and personalised telephone based service
- Engage with customers through various channels including phone, email, and chat
- Identify and understand customer needs to recommend suitable tour packages and experiences based on their unique needs, preferences and interests
- Actively promote and sell tour packages, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, actively promoting opportunities to ‘up-sell’ customers onto premium products and services,
- Coordinate with tour operators and vendors to ensure smooth and seamless experiences for customers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in order to provide accurate and relevant information to customers
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to overall team success
- Process bookings and reservations accurately and efficiently
- Stay informed about current promotions, new destinations, and other product updates
- Track and report on sales metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales or customer service, with a focus on turning inbound enquiry calls in to sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of the travel and tourism industry would be beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems
