Finance Officer – Part-Time Role
We are excited to be partnering with our client to recruit a talented Finance Officer for a part-time role. In this role, you will have responsibility for managing and raising invoices, assessing VAT status, and applying VAT exemptions, alongside a variety of essential finance duties.

Responsibilities
-
Conduct monthly reviews of forecasting reports, investigate variances, and liaise with the Director of Finance and Operations as required.

Prepare and distribute monthly department/budget holder reports, responding to any budget queries.

Compile the monthly catering summary, including staffing costs and FSM meals.

Code and post catering recharges internally.

Maintain a funds transaction spreadsheet and provide summaries by transactional analysis codes.

Reconcile and post school petty cash on the finance system, including posting correction and journal entries.

Code supplier invoices accurately, ensuring consistency with budgeting software.

Monitor key non-staff commitments and contracts.

Allocate new codes for payment items on the cashless payment system.
Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in a relevant finance or accounting role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in relevant tools, technologies, or finance software.
