PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR (Permanent Role)

 

We are seeking a proactive and detail orientated Payroll Administrator to join a highly regarded organisation recently named one of the best places to work in 2024! As the Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for all payroll queries and changes for company employees. You will work closely with the HR team and review all payroll activities.

For this role, we are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, embraces challenges, and is a considerate team player.

 

WHAT YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW

 

  • Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home
  • Permanent position with excellent growth opportunities

 

A SNAPSHOT OF THE DAY

 

  • Acting as the main point of contact between the organisation and the external payroll provider (ADP) to ensure smooth payroll processing
  • Handling all monthly payroll adjustments, including sickness, overtime, maternity, and salary deductions
  • Keeping employee records up to date by maintaining bank details and processing tax code changes
  • Answering employee queries related to payroll and resolving any issues promptly
  • Coordinating with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with internal deadlines
  • Managing pension contributions for new starters and processing leavers

 

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU? Our client is looking for someone who:

 

  • Has solid experience in payroll administration, preferably with an external payroll provider
  • Can easily manage payroll systems and is proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Has strong attention to detail and a natural ability to work with numbers
  • Undertake Payroll Technician Certificate (PTC) or already professionally qualified in payroll administration
  • Enjoys working in a supportive team
